Corrections & Complaints Policy

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

Strata-AF™ aggregates third-party reporting and publishes original editorial (“Strata-AF™ Originals”) and data briefs across Culture, Music, Film, Tech, Sports, Politics, Health, Finance, Religion, and Fashion. This policy explains how we correct errors and handle complaints.

1. Our Commitment to Accuracy

We correct errors quickly, transparently, and on the record. Accuracy applies equally to aggregated “From the Web” summaries and to Strata-AF™ Originals — where an error originates upstream in a source we aggregated, we still investigate and correct our own presentation of it.

2. Types of Correction

  • Correction: a factual error in a published piece (name, date, figure, quote, attribution). Fixed in place with a dated correction note.
  • Clarification: accurate but potentially misleading wording. Amended with a dated clarification note.
  • Retraction:a material error undermining the piece's core claim, or content published in error. Removed or replaced with a retraction notice explaining why.

3. How to Submit a Complaint or Correction Request

Email legal@strata-af.comwith the article URL, the specific claim in question, and supporting evidence where available. Complaints about aggregated “From the Web” summaries should also flag the original publisher, since the error may originate upstream.

4. Response Timeline

  • Acknowledge receipt: within 2 business days.
  • Initial assessment and response: within 5 business days.
  • Politics, Health, and Finance items are escalated to the editorial lead the same day, given higher defamation and misinformation sensitivity.

5. Escalation

Unresolved complaints, and any complaint alleging defamation, are escalated to Strata-AF™'s founders. Legal counsel is consulted before any retraction involving a named individual or organisation, or any threatened legal claim.

6. Record-Keeping

All corrections are logged with date, original text, corrected text, and reason. Strata-AF™ Originals retain their sources-shown evidence trail; corrections append to that trail rather than silently editing it.

7. Scope

This policy covers aggregated summaries, Strata-AF™ Originals, and Data/Docs hub briefs across all verticals and all markets Strata-AF™ publishes in — Nigeria, and diaspora/pan-African readership including Kenya, South Africa, and Ghana.
